To all who live, learn, work & enjoy the 1st District,

I am Sam Epps, and I’m running for the Prince George’s County Council seat for the 1st District
because OUR TIME IS NOW! For the last decade, I’ve lived and worked in Prince George’s county
fighting for the livelihood and opportunity of working families all across Maryland. I have spent
my life organizing and fighting for fairness, equality, and a better life for our families, workers
and communities.

I could have been patient and continued advocating for working families, fighting the good fight
from the outside, and urging our leaders to do what we know is right. I could have let four more years
go by hoping we would get the kind of leadership our great county deserves, but I couldn’t watch four
more years of scandal, waste, and indifference from Upper Marlboro. You and I both know that Prince
George’s County is in desperate need of fresh, new leaders who will work on behalf of our communities
with honesty, transparency and heart. Especially now, in the face of a worsening economy, we need
elected officials who we can trust to make difficult decisions on our behalf instead of just those of the
well connected.

I can't do this without you. Without your help, input and support, this campaign will be as meaningless
as all the broken promises of previous elections. I would be honored if you would volunteer your time to
join me in fighting for more jobs, excellent schools, safer streets, and quality healthcare in District 1.
